Ich bin seit Oktober 2018 als Assistenzprofessorin für Paläobotanik an der Universität Wien tätig.
Meine Habilitation in Geobiologie wurde mir 2020 von der Universität Wien verliehen. Ich bin jetzt assoziierter Professor für Paläobotanik (Oktober 2024).

Forschungsinteressen

Ich interessiere mich für die Evolution von Pflanzen und Ökosystemen. Ich bin fasziniert von der Vielfalt und Struktur der Pflanzen, von der Anatomie bis zur groben Morphologie. Das Verständnis der Interaktion zwischen der Biosphäre und der Geosphäre ist der Schlüssel zur Tiefenzeit. Ich interessiere mich besonders für die Entstehung, die Vielfalt und die Verstrebungen von pflanzlichen Abwehrstoffen und Exsudaten wie Gummi, Schleim und Harz und wie diese versteinert werden können (insbesondere Bernstein ist eine meiner Spezialitäten). Ich bin neugierig darauf, was sie uns über frühere Ökosysteme und möglicherweise über die Auswirkungen einer Klimaerwärmung auf die heutigen Pflanzen sagen können.
